Don't give up. Keep trying till you get it right.

Janet looks happy.

I have no issue with her not revealing that she got married to Qatari billionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana last year. We didn't even know she had married Rene Elizondo until they were divorcing. When you're a celebrity, everything you do is held under a microscope. You should be able to chose what's off limits. She chose not to include the world in on something that was special to her, her being wed to the man she loves.

Kudos, Janet

God bless them both.

The only thing I want

is everything God has in store for me. I even want this journey.    You can't have a test without a testimony.

Grade A

Only what is necessary

I used to be someone else. I used to be the person who forced people to say hello or good morning just by my being the first to say it. I also used to be nice, and smile and laugh when they say something that's meant to be funny.  But now I'm a different person.  I now walk past those same people and treat them like they're invisible because if I don't speak, they will walk past me a dozen times a day as normal, and not even look in my direction. If I have to speak to them I will be polite and professional. I will be as concise as I can, with as few words as possible. I will only say what is necessary, nothing more. And I will not crack a smile or giggle if they try to say something to ease the tension they've caused. I'm a different person. They've made me a different person.

Anne Rice was quoted as saying "None of us really change over time. We only become more fully who we already are."  I disagree. Anne Rice hasn't met me.  I'm naturally a nice person, to everyone, but not everyone appreciates it. Being nice should make you feel entitled to being treated as nicely in return, and if that doesn't happen, well--

The end.

My Latest

An Amarula Pistachio Cake
A coworker challenged me to make a cake with Pistachios in it, and I did. Not only did he love it, but the sales department did as well. As usual, they took to it like Pirahnas take to raw meat.
As much as I love to write, I have to believe that baking makes me happy. I say that because, after I put the cake in the oven and I started cleaning the kitchen and putting everything away, I was happy. I remember wondering why I was happy, and I couldn't come up with anything besides baking.
People have suggested I start a business, but I wouldn't want it to be something I had to do in order to make a living. I might begin to dread it. I get pleasure out of watching people enjoy my food.  Like my grandfather. I remember the holidays. He would spend hours in the kitchen, then sit at the table and fellowship with us as we ate the many items he prepared. He wasn't even hungry. He'd always  eat later on.  He was happy.

Obviously,  baking makes me happy as well.

Ok  G*D,

People tell me that I try too hard, so I'll just chill, and relax, enjoy my life, and look for happiness in the things you've given me already. You know what I want-what I need, though.

All in due time, all in due time

Ok,  ok, I'm listening.

As my mom always says

"Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
 and sweet for bitter."
Isaiah 5:20
About those that treat me like a less than;
woe until you.
As my mom always says,
"You can't mess with God's children and expect there to be no consequences."
So I go on by my business,
I treat everyone the way I'd want to be treated. I keep myself prayed up, and I let God handle it.
I have family members that have mistreated myself and my mom,
then terrible things happen to them,
one after the other.
then they call my mom and me,
"why are these terrible things happening to me and my family?"
we know the answer,
but we don't say anything.

With the right tools you can fix anything.

Question of the Day

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye."

Matthew 7: 3-5

What is this an analogy for ?

An answer, waiting for a question

People either bring value to your life or they do not. Those who bring value, there is never a question as to why you keep them around. Those who do not...

Thinking no one was around

A few minutes ago, someone in upper management was really rude to me. I asked him a simple question and his response was short and rude.  Normally this person has nothing  to say to me unless it's work-related, though he can socialize with  every one else around me. Apparently, he thought I was alone in the department when someone who overheard the conversation said aloud  " name of person, that was really rude!"   His reply was " I didn't know you were over there."

This blog entry is vaguely written, as some employees in different departments of the company know that I have a blog, so I didn't want to be specific.

Suffice it to say, apparently this person, thinking I was alone in the department, thought he could get away with being as  rude as he wished.

I'm praying over it.

LUXURY   When Love Calls

we know the answer
love is the question
we always wonder about.
we go about our daily lives
consciously (and subconsciously)
wondering why we breathe.
within the confines of our brain:
a reason
for what the heart already knows:
why it flutters
with the mere mention of one’s name.
why the skin tingles
with the slightest touch.
why our eyes can see the sun shining-
even though it’s raining.
why nothing else
seems to matter as much
it is love:
and that is the easy part
we all have loved
but loving and being loved—
that is luxury.
thought it is free.
we can not buy it
we can not sell it.
we are lucky to have it call our name.

I love the Lord

I love the Lord; He heard my cries,
And pitied every groan;
Long as I live, when troubles rise,
I’ll hasten to His throne.

I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry for mercy.
Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.

If I knew then...

Be careful who you open up to. Only a few people actually care, the rest just want to have something to gossip about.
